I cannot express how grateful I am for the Saturday program led by my son’s preschool teacher, Mrs. Millar. To know Mrs. Millar is to love her. She has a remarkable ability to connect with my son, showing him the same love and care as if he were her own child. Her dedication to truly understanding each child’s unique needs and supporting them to the best of her ability is unmatched.
The program has been transformative for my son. He has become more social through his interactions with others, more aware of his surroundings, and has been able to engage his imagination during play thanks to the interactive lessons. Each week, there’s also a creative craft that he really enjoys. I’ve seen amazing improvements, particularly in his speech and social skills, which have flourished under Mrs. Millar’s care.
What sets this program apart is not just Mrs. Millar’s professional knowledge but also her commitment to bringing in different specialists. Each week, she introduces a new therapist—whether it’s a physical therapist, occupational therapist, or ABA therapist—ensuring the children receive well-rounded support.
In addition to her work with the kids, Mrs. Millar also provides much-needed support to us as parents. The parent support groups she organizes allow us to voice our concerns, ask questions, and get guidance on how to best support our children in the classroom.
When raising a child with special needs, it truly takes a village, and I am beyond blessed to have Mrs. Millar as part of ours. She is a gift to our family, and I am deeply thankful for all she does for my son and for us.
Jenna and her staff are amazing women who care for every child they encounter as if they were their own children. They truly want the best for our children and have shown this in so many ways. My kids and I love everyone and the program. My kids have shown so much progress since being in the program. I would highly recommend the program, they made learning so much fun! The parent sessions are my favorite part about the program, getting tips and advice from the other moms and specialist have been extremely helpful.
Saturday Social Club for Michael has been a heaven sent. It is almost as if he has a birthday party every weekend – thats how much fun he has. The group meets for 90 minutes every Saturday. It has helped wonders with the routine at home because it is something he looks forward to. He has learned so much!!!
Best part of it all, it has helped him learn how to share with other kids, take turns and most importantly, he became aware of playing with other children. Michael didn’t care to even acknowledge his twin sister let alone other children. Now after learning how to play with other children he drives his sister crazy because all he wants to do is play and have company. Michael has become much more daring in the sense where he now climbs, jumps and makes littler obstacle courses all on his own.
Mrs. Millar has been my heaven sent! She guides me in every way possible and motivates me to continue, she is my google period! She invites us moms to come in and talk to the other moms to make us feel sane and not alone, which is fantastic! As a mom with a child with special needs it is important to feel that you are not alone! It is completely normal to have children doing not normal things, hearing other moms understand you and relating to you is perhaps the safest feeling ever!
